Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo Launched – Toyota’s best-selling SUV gets a ‘sportier’ look ,, Fortuner has been the best-selling SUV for Toyota since it was first launched in 2009. Fortuner’s second generation came in last year and went on to win this streak. Now, Toyota has come up with a sporty variant, Fortuner TRD Sportivo. This new variant has been launched at a price of Rs 31.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will only be offered in Pearl White.
This SUV gets TRD-inspired exterior with front and rear bumpers under the spoiler. At the front, the car gets a new TRD radiator grill with a low grill cover. On the other hand, the TRD variant gets a TRD 18 inch alloy with an exterior accent on the door. It also earned the ‘TRD Sportivo’ badge in the tailgate.
Inside, nothing new in the cabin except the red stitch accents on the upholstery. At the engine bay, the TRD variant is only offered with a 2.8 liter diesel engine as seen in standard variants, producing 177PS / 450Nm, and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifter and paddle. It will also have an active traction control with two driving modes: Eco and Power. TRD variant will only be offered on option AT 4X2.
